ââ Why TNDWWT is hosting this initiative ââ
Climate justice for the communities we serve
Since 2005, TNDWWT â The Tamil Nadu Domestic Workers’ Welfare Trust â has worked for the rights and dignity of domestic workers, migrant workers, and the children of these communities across 18 districts of Tamil Nadu.
The climate crisis hits these communities first and hardest. Domestic workers face heat stress in unregulated workplaces. Migrant families lose livelihoods to climate-driven disasters. And the children of these households are growing up on the frontline of a future the world is still debating.
This art initiative is open to every Indian, of every age. We especially welcome submissions from children of domestic worker families, migrant communities, government schools, and underserved regions. Every voice belongs in the climate conversation â including the ones the world usually doesn’t listen to.

Art for the planet we share
The environment we live in â the air we breathe, the water we drink, the species we share the planet with â is changing faster than at any point in human history. This June, we’re inviting people of every age to put their vision for the planet on paper.
Climate communication has a problem. The numbers are dire â 1.5°C, parts per million, species lost â but most people don’t see themselves in numbers. They see themselves in images. In what a five-year-old draws when you ask them to imagine a forest, or what a seventy-year-old paints when you ask them to remember one. This initiative is built on that idea: every participant, from kindergarten to senior citizen, puts one image of the future they want on paper.
