In Padappai, many children struggled to attend school regularly because they did not have basic supplies like notebooks, school bags, and stationery. Without these essentials, participation in class was difficult, and some children began to lose interest in learning. The Children’s Parliament decided to take action in a creative way. They organized a drawing competition for local children, inviting parents, shopkeepers, and community members to attend and support the event. Entry fees and small donations from well-wishers were collected to raise funds.
The money was used to purchase high-quality notebooks, sturdy school bags, and complete stationery kits. These were distributed to over 30 children from low-income families, ensuring they could return to school with confidence and enthusiasm.
This initiative did more than provide materials—it brought the community together, celebrated children’s talents, and showed how creativity can be a powerful tool for solving real problems.
