Devarasan's Journey: A Transformation through Personality Development Training

Stepping Out of the Comfort Zone
This was Devarasan’s first time attending a personality development training—and it became a truly life-changing experience. Before the session, he had little awareness of the personality traits and life skills that were discussed. His favorite part was the group activity. Although most participants were strangers and he considered himself an introvert, Devarasan stepped out of his comfort zone, spoke with others, made new friends, and embraced the spirit of connection.
A bright and curious 12-year-old from a humble family, Devarasan is supported by parents who work tirelessly to provide their children with education and the chance to dream big. Despite life’s challenges, his eagerness to learn and grow stands out.
A Training That Sparked Change
The training—organized by the Tamil Nadu Domestic Workers Welfare Trust (TNDDWT) and led by Mr. Gnana Sekar—focused on leadership, communication, and personality development. Its goal was to empower children to recognize their strengths, build confidence, and set meaningful goals.
For Devarasan, the session opened doors to self-awareness and belief in his abilities. He learned that communication is more than speaking—it’s also about listening, understanding, and connecting. Through interactive activities, he discovered the value of teamwork, how to lead with empathy, and how to see himself in a positive light.
From Learner to Leader
Since the training, the change in Devarasan has been remarkable. At home and in school, he speaks with confidence, participates actively, and is unafraid to express his thoughts and ideas. His teachers have noticed the difference, and so have his friends.
Inspired by what he learned, he now encourages other children to speak up, share ideas, and build confidence—living proof of the leadership skills he’s gained.
